assigning external numbers to DNs 2

we supposedly have 3400-3499 (external numners) I am trying to assign a phone with DN 3495 to the external number 3495

I assume this has something to do with line assignment but that was something I do not yet understand.

any help on this subject would be greatly appriciated.

if it's did's set up the receive number in the target lines and then assign that target line to the set

Is this new install or adding a few DID's (some exist)?

Make sure you check your target lines - 157 and up - that is where the DID number is put.
Then you have to assign that line to the extension.

OK I got it all figured out thanks for all of the help.

Although my DID's start at line number 145 (I dont know if that is a problem as please123 stated it should start at 157)

older software (4.1 and lower),target lines start at 145
newer software (higher than 4.1) , target lines start at 157
