Assign DID to Information mailbox ??

Hello. I am trying to assign a DID to an Information mailbox and, well, it's not working. My ultimate objective: I need callers routed through a DID to an information greeting. I have several toll-free numbers to eliminate from heavy use and my plan is to redirect them to a DID that greets callers with a recording telling them to dial the old local, ring-to number for that toll-free (carrier does not offer that option so I have to do so in-house).
I realize that I could use a Greeting table but since I am dealing with several different recordings and already have my business greeting options setup I thought it could get a little hairy and dangerous dealing with important programming that is already there. Thus, I thought I would use simple information mailboxes in conjunction with DID's.

What I have done so far:
Assigned available lines to available DID's. Assigned those lines to available DN's (those DN's are already in the system but no physical set exists for them. Perhaps this is my problem?). The DN's ring to voicemail DN on No Answer and there are corresponding Information Mailboxes set up for those DN's.
Where in this programming chain may I have missed something? Surely I do not need an actual physical set for each line/DN ??
Thanks in advance for any thoughts or advice.
Happy Holidays!
Tom

Turn off Auto Set Relocate and borrow a set and hook it up to the port that has your DID/DN that you are having problems with and see if it works, by rights it should work when you have no phone plugged in so something is missed indeed.
Did you create the mailbox and tell that mailbox it is to be associated with you DN?
If I recall and Info Box is just that and cant be associated with a set, if I am right then give that DN a normal mailbox and use the alternate greeting within that mailbox and use the NO LEAVE MESSAGE feature.

Since you have MICS 4.1 try this (assumption is that you have hunt groups available) make a hunt group, assign its DN to be that of your info mailbox. make voicemail DN a member of hunt group, assign Target line to be answered by Hung Group. overflow to Voicemail DN, overflow on busy. set timeout to 15. On the target line Prime set = None.

This works for standard mailboxes so it should also work for an info box.
