I would like to know if it's possible to Assign a Macro into a Data Access Page under Access2000.

I have created the Data Access Page and I would like to create an OnClick button that will run the macro.

I haven't had any luck so far.

Any ideas/tips would be great.

I am trying to do the same think in ACCESS 2003.

I created a Data Access Page, with an OnClick Macro, to do data entry into a table. I want the macro to append the record just created to a master table in the database.

When I run it as a form within Access, it works fine. I then converted the form to a DAP, and made sure the HTM file was in the same directory as the .mdb file. When I then click on the button on the DAP, nothing happens....it is like it does not recognize the OnClick Macro.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,

David

David,
I have tried to figure this one out since April and nothing has come of it.
Everyone i have spoken too has told me that it cant be done.
I wish this was available however maybe in Access 2009 they might put it in.
I ended up using Visual Basic.net and Flash to get everything that i wanted done sorted.... it wasn't the best solution however it was the only thing i could come up with at the time.
I wish you all the best with what your trying to do, because no one could answer mine.
Matt.

Hi Matt,

Since I posted my message to your thread, I have found the following tech paper in the Microsoft Library. See the URL below.

It has not solved all of my problems, mostly due to my novice ability in programming, but it has gotten me started.

I have also found other info by just going to the MS Library ( ) and searching on "Data Access Pages".

Good Luck to you on your project(s)
