Good day -

Classic ASP to PowerPoint, is this possibe?

So far my research is not going well for good old classic ASP. has anybody done, heard about or think this is possible?

Well I am not sure exactly what you want to achieve? If you have got the latest version of Power Point ie. 2007.

You might be able to achieve what you want to achieve with the use of "Content Controls".

Have a look at this
Note that it referees to word content controls but the theory is the same for Excel, powerpoint etc..

ASP > XML > Powerpoint.

Hope this helps.

thanks

;;;Well I am not sure exactly what you want to achieve?

Save an ASP page as a poerpoint file.

The link you gave me is specific to word docs. Word and Excel are very very easy. In fact one line of code allows any ASP page to be saved as a .doc or a .xls (note - you need to place the .css code in the head of the doc however, neither word or excel likes looking for a globaly referenced style sheet) - For others reading this post IME .pdf's are not so easy, a third party component is required for this.

The interoperability between ASP and Powerpoint is very very different. In fact I have not come accross anybdy who has done it

Anybody else care to shed some light on this???
