I have created an ASP page using MS FrontPage 2000. The page is an application form containing 14 text boxes all validated. I have successfully (I think) created the database file. When I try to open the page using a hyperlink it will not load. When I rt-click and ask to open using Internet Explorer I see only the html text. Where have I gone wrong??

No. I just get a page up showing "The page cannot be displayed - There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed".

I have author access to our intranet but I have never created an ASP page previously. I went through the process of setting compatibility options, creating the form, saving it as an asp page and creating the database using the Send To option. I have a "hidden" hyperlink so that I can test the form but the result is as above.

Thanks. I've spoken to our server team who say, Yes FrontPage Server Extensions are active but they think they may need to do something else in order for my page to load.

Our server team have now "tick a couple of boxes" and I can display my form. However - what I want to do is have users complete the form (all fields so I need the validation - I don't necessarily need save the data). I would like the information the users type to stay on display once the form is submitted for validation so they can print out. Is this possible??

Thanks - I used FP to create the form, went into Form Properties, clicked on Options and Create Database - the database was created from there.

Well then on the confirmation page, you can use FP web-bots. I have not used FP 2000 in a very long time - so bear with me :)

Create your confirmation page & go to Insert - Web Component. Now what you are looking for is Confirmation Field. If one of your fields is labeled Last_Name, then you would put Last_Name in the pop-up box.

It looks something like this in the code:
Code:
<!--webbot bot="ConfirmationField" S-Field="Last_Name" -->
Now just go back to your form & right click on the form, choose form properties. Now click on the Options button. And now you should see a tab for confirmation page
