Any ideas why I can't access a local site with Default.asp as the main page? It works fine under Server 2000, but when installing it on Server 2003 Enterprise, I get Error 404: File Not Found. I feel like I have tried everything, but nothing seems to work. I have dug in further with the address and pointed to a file with a .htm extension and it comes up fine. I have added the site to the Trusted Sites list, also with no luck. I even loaded the site on a virtual XP machine and still can't access it.

Thanks in advance,

Parallon

Actually, I just found out that I can access the site on the XP machine from the 2k3 machine, but I can't access the site on the 2k3 machine from the XP machine.

Thanks,\

Off the top of my head it could be that "Default.asp" is not listed as being enabled for a default document.

Open Internet services manager, look at the site properties, under the documents tab you can see what documents (names and types) are enabled for default.

Also make sure that you have actually installed ASP on the 2003 server.

I hope you find this post helpful. Please let me know if it was.

Mark

That was it. ASP wasn't installed. I am not sure why, but it seems like ASP is installed by default when I installed IIS on Server 2k and XP, but not on 2k3.

Thank you all again for your help.
