I am writing code for a web site and have been doing everything at home and uploading to the web site when every works. I just started doing ASP and couldn't get it to work at home. I worked my way backward and got fed up and tried to upload the code to the site to see if by chance it would work there WHICH IT DID!!! Can anyone tell me what I need to do so get my ASP code to work on my PC? I have Windows 98. Thanks much.

You need a ASP compatible HTTP server (like IIS). Water is not bad as long as it stays out human body ;-)

On the windows 98 cd is a directory called PWS, which is personal web server. This allows you to run ASP pages on your local machine. It is quite easy to use once it is installed.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the help. I installed PWS but when double-clicking on the file DreamWeaver is the default program and when I try to view in Browser it still doesn't work. I tried the shift key and double-clicking the file to open in IE but DreamWeaver still comes up.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

....And make sure PWS is running.
To test your ASP, you should open/access the ASP file through the browser...not Windows Explorer.
