I have set up a server that has Webdav enabled. From a remote client, I am able to open Microsoft Word, use the server/virtual directory url to open the file on the server, make revisions and save the file successfully.

I am struggling with how to make the call to open this file using webdav from a web page using asp.net (vb). Does anyone have any experience with this?

I have tried unsuccessfully for a couple of months to deploy an application that uses Interop (Word) from a client-based PC where it works flawlessly to a Windows 2003 server. It does not work on the server. I have posted in forums (including here) and have tried all recommendations but nothing works. Word is installed on the server, interop is installed, the DCOM launch and execute permissions are set appropriately for the ASPNET account as well as the Network Service account and others, I'm using Interactive user, not impersonating, etc. This application also works when deployed to a Windows 2000 server but does not work on the 2003 server.

This is why I changed my plan of attach and enabled webdav, which works fine from within Word to let me open, edit and save documents located on a remote server, but I'm just not finding any sample code to help me open the file from my web application.
