If we upgrade to Visual Studio 2005, will we need to install Asp.Net Session 2.0?

What is Asp.Net Session 2.0? Do you mean the Framework?

Yes. Will we need to update our users computers if we get Visaul Studio 2005 and build apps in it?

VS 2005 will install the framework when it installs but you will need to install the framework on your production server.

You can run the frameworks side by side though. In the virtual directory settings, you can specify what version of the framework you want your app to use.

When you install 2.0 it doesn't override 1.1, just installs side by side.

Maybe I am not clear. Visual Studio is on our developers machines. They will be updated to 2005. If the developers upgrade an application or build a new one with VS 2005 and deploy it to the web, will the "end-user" need to have 2.0 upgraded on their machines?

Thanks much and sorry for the confusion.

All the "end-user" sees is in their browser is the actual HTML that is sent to them. The server, hence Active Server Pages, needs the framework for the controls to generate the HTML - so, no clients don't need to have it installed.
