I am using a Windows NT 4.0 platform. I have checked to make sure that asp and asa files are mapped in MMC (IIS). And all the scripting that has been done is fine. I keep getting server errors or DNS errors, server times out or cannot be found, everytime I try and load a local asp page. Could anyone help me. Looking for answers and severly stumped. Thanx a million to anyone who could help.

Is the web server started? Try opening a command window and type NET START W3SVC

Yes the Web server is Started. I think there might be a version conflict. Between the asp.dll file that IIS maps to and the version of IIS itself. This might have happened because the software wasn't installed in the right order and the asp.dll file might have been overwritten with an older version. I'm not sure if this is the right answer though. So if there is anyone out there with more suggestions or a verification of what I suspect to be the problem please contact me. Thank You again.

Are you using a proxy server? You might need to bypass it for local intranet addresses.

Thanx for responding NickBulka and ChrisQuick. I appreciate it. But the problem was fixed. It was the dll file. I just put in a new version. I think the original file was corrupted.

Thanks Again :) !!
