I just got a new ASA5510, days ago it was able to boot its IOS image just normal!, but yesterday I just turned on and it went straight to the ROMMON> prompt. I checked its disk0: contents and it was missing its IOS image and I forced it to boot from a image in m y PC: tftp://MY_PC_IP/asa821-k8.bin

After it boots that image it can't copy any IOS image from tftp to disk0:, I can't even write the current config, so then I realized that the ASA says that have no space in flash memory:

Please see the two outputs I am posting here:

ciscoasa# write mem
Building configuration...
Cryptochecksum: cdaf0e74 b18d7b5e 089b68a0 9e3b4212

%Error copying system:/running-config (Not enough space on device)
Error executing command
[FAILED]

ciscoasa# show disk0:
--#-- --length-- -----date/time------ path

432 43 Jun 01 2011 23:35:57 coredumpinfo/coredump.cfg

416 0 Jun 01 2011 23:34:58 log

So, I proceed to erase the filesystem, it take a while to format the disk0: and then rebooted, it still does not work....

Any idea why this happens or how could one work around this situation?

Thanks in advance!

Possible you have a faulty unit.

Just get it swapped out.
