We recently went to a 6-digit dialing plan. Now when I print labels for our 64xx series telephones through the ASA button label application I get the two digit location code. Example: (605)123-22-4567. Does anyone know how I can remove the 22 location code so my number looks like (605)123-4567?

I am currently using ASA 5.2

On my ASA (ver 3.2), I do this by modifying the button label text. I'd guess that the location code is in the label template, so you should be able to remove it.

To change button labels:
1. On the browser pane, click the Tree tab.
2. Right-click the Button Labels folder.
3. Double-click the Button Label text file you want to modify.
4. Change the text in any of the label columns as needed.
5. Select File > Save.
6. Click to close the Label Text window.

Yes, this is an option to "manually" remove the location code. I want to chage the Button Label text file once and not have modify it each time I need to make a label. I was hoping that there was a symbol or character that could be added to the template and it would strip the location code.

Thanks for your help Susan!
