Hi,
I am using CR9 Prof and connecting to one of our AS/400s via the IBM Client Access ODBC driver (v9.00.00.02.02).

When I attempt to add a table into an existing report or a new report I get the following error message :
'Query Engine Error '4200[IBM][iSeries Access ODBC Driver][DB2 UDB]SQL0551 - Not authorized to object QADBKFLD in QSYS type *FILE'

I have applied the latest fixpacks to CR9 but to no avail. CR is able to work with existing tables but not add anymore in. Does anyone have any thoughts on this ?
Thanks - ShortyA

This definetly seems like a AS400 thing, The AS400 is very good at Security, and AS400 people are very careful to lock down the Client Access Icon (wouldn't want anyone dragging it to the trash can:). The Folder QSYS if the location of the Sytems Stuff, It looks like DB Access, it could be a Indexing problem, check to see if its a logical or physical table. I would also check the Authorities on the AS400. I'm really not sure what the command is, it has been a couple years since I was a AS/400 Programmer.

Thanks for the info. I think it was down to Client Access. I re-installed CA with version 9.00.00.05.00 and this worked OK.
