AS400 Cobol code for HP LaserJet 5si

Need to print barcode on HP LaserJet 5si via as400 Cobol program. To further complicate matters, am running under Rumba, so have pc drivers to work around/contend with.
simm slot 3-2mb, simm slot 4-8mb. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HP makes Barcode Memory chips which you call from your program. Can you call PCL from your application?

Have inhouse cobol programs that send commands to zebra printers for printing code 39 barcodes. The programs run through dumb terminals.
What I need to do is print a barcoded packing slip from the as400 cobol program.
I think I need the sequence codes for hp laserjet 5si. Also, the device description on the as400 may need to be changed.
I am trying to run the program through my pc using Rumba.
Also have hp deskjet 960c available...can barcode be printed on it?
I am on new ground here, so if terminology is incorrect or misleading, I apologize.
