AS2000 SP4
Windows 2000 Server SP2
I'm using 5 backup tapes per week and I always recycle the tapes in weekly basis. I'm using the simplest custom schedule (5 Days of week repeat method). Arcserve 2000 always assign a media name in "mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm pm" format during the backup and I always use quick erase plus to make the tape become a blank media before recycle a tape. I'm using this way for more than half an year and very happy with this backup method until recently things start going strange.
My Arcserve 2000 now always have difficulty to recongnize the media name, tapes are all miss recongnized as "blank media" even I'm sure the tape contains data. The strange part is if I keep performing eject/insert on different days' tape my AS2000 will start recognize the media name correctly again. CA supports told me this may due to the database corruption and I already perform the suggested solution (Document Number 1521), but I still get the same problem over and over again.
Any Arcserve expert know what's going on?
