Hi,
We are doing AS2 test since Https is not included in AS2 standard, so we didn't develope it. Now testing requires Https. We are trying implementing , but get stuck. We can't get any reply from them.

We already download the certificate for Https and imported it into cacerts, but we still can't connect with them. The session is invalid. Who has relative experience please help!

Thanks,
George

HI, The question is narrowed down to the followings:

How can I set IP address and port number for HTTPS in Lexicom???

Thanks

hi, edianalyst and Soupkid and other edi specialists,

do you know how to use HTTPS in Lexicom.

For example, our client only gave me url as follows
How can I set IP address and port number for it in Lexicom.

Thanks,
George

edisky,

Couple of things..

1) Your TP should supply you with what port to connect to.
2) When you setup your HOST TP in lexicom you should have a place on 'general' tab to specify url and port #.
3) I've never used the https option , but if you have a particular problem... call LEXICOM support. They are pretty good at resolving or answering any questions.

Hi, AL
Actually, I registered as a developer for DirectPath project and sent request for their source code 1 month ago. I haven't received any reply from them. Are you the member of it? Do you have the source code? If you have it, could you send me a copy?
Thanks a lot.
George

To ls62,
Thanks for your statements. Actually, they are not using HTTPS as the protocol. The AS2 operator insisted they were using HTTPS. Now, we changed back HTTP, everything is OK now.

ediconsulting : question : could you give me a simple way to use DirectPath software ? I found no user documentation, and I am not able to transfert the once file between two stations.
What I did :
- configuration of an user and a partner.
URL for a partner : where 192.168.0.201 is the IP adress of my second test server. The same on the other side. Is this correct ?
- no schedule and no service. How do I configure 1/ Reception activated 2/ Emission of files ready in my datapath.out directory ?

Thanks for help !

I tried to test the Directpath software about a month ago and couldn't get it to sent or receive any documents. I will be following these post since I plan to reinstall and retry the software some time from now. I think a user guide would be serious help for us who tried to work with the software.

I've just successfully installed and tested DirectPath. The test was between iSoft and DirectPath. Able to send basic EDI docs, encrypted, receipts, signatures, MDN's, etc. Some helpful comments might be:

- When I set up DirectPath, I needed to configuration my partner to be something like:
- Recurring 2 mins.
- max retries 5
- retry interval 10 mins.

- The external AS2 client should hit a URL such as where YourServerNameIP is the IP address or domain of the server that is running DirectPath and PORT is the port that DirectPath/Tomcat is running on.

- Also I found it very helpful to check the reports (inbound and outbound) to see if my documents were getting sent or only queued.

Regarding Encryption (not my strongpoint, so only use these as pointers to push you in the right direction):
- Direct Path seems to prefer PKCS12 certificates/keys. I used OpenSSL to convert my certs & keys from PEM to PKCS12
- Isoft says that they can recognize most cert types, but their PKI engine also states that they generate X.509 certificates. Hmm, I wasn’t sure if this was the cause of my problem so I used OpenSSL again to convert my PEM cert to X.509(DEM). (maybe my problem was the RC2 vs. DES3 (see next point below), so maybe my PEM or PKCS12 would also work.)
- iSoft appears to use both RC2 and DES3 encryption algorithims. We had trouble on the iSoft when I set DirectPath to RC2 but was able to get DES3 to work.
