Ok. I am struggling to find the correct formula for this scenario that I am working on.
I need to be able to add 409 to any 7 digit dialed BUT also allow for any 10 digit number to pass.

Do you have ARS turned on? you are going to have to use ARS. you are going to have to use a dial treatment (26-03) to add the digits. D03409RE would be the treatment. This is then applied to the f route in 44-05-08. Copy and paste everything in 26-02 and and lets see if we can help you out.

Welcome to our community, This is the first time I have come across your posts, Nice to have another knowledgeable tech here!

Thanks John.
My ARS is working fine and I have been using it for several years. My issue is if you try and add a 409 to every 7 digit number but at the same want to pass any 10 digit number without adding anything to it, it seems to not be possible because of the way you have layer the ARS tables. What I think it needs is a way to count the number of digits dialed before sending. That way we could specify if 7 digits are dialed, add 409 but if 10 are dialed, even if the it is the same number, let it pass without adding any digits.

I was hoping someone maybe had a trick up their sleeve that maybe had thought of something to get around that.

yes, but how to do keep the numbers from matching in cms 26.

Here is what I have:
26-02-01
0001> 0 > f-route > 1
0002> 1 > f-route > 2
0003> 911 > f-route > 3
0004> @@@ > f-route > 4

26-03-01
D03409RE

44-05
table 1
01 > 1
09 > 20
table 2
01 > 1
09 > 11
table 3
01 > 1
09 > 3
table 4
01 > 1
08 > 1
09 > 7

Ok. That works 100%. I dial the 7 digit number and I get a 409-xxx-xxxx

Now lets say you want to dial 10 digits. You need something entered in cmd 26 so that you can send it to cmd 44. The question is what are you going to add and how do you add so that it can represent any number without that also matching the existing entry already there that is being used for 7 digits.

Does that make sense?

What are your dialing patterns?
1 + 10 = LD
10 = local
7 = local then add 409 in front

yeah. I always let people dial the traditional way with long distance, but they don't have to. So I keep the 1 + 10 = LD
We are actually in a city that doesn't require 10 digit dialing, but really needs to. So 10 = local and 7 is also local, but I want to add the 409 on that
