Dear All,

I am slightly confused to configure the new ARS feature in Avaya IP500. We have certain number dedicated to management staff incase if this line is busy the call should go to the second line.


Line 1 is created as outgoing truk group 4 and line 2 is created as outgoing trunk group 5. created shortcode as [9]80N. line group id 50Main. in the ars column created shortcode as [9]80N line group id as assigned as 4.

could any one suggest how to configure in the ARS.
 
The [9] shortcodes must be erased !
Now you can set secondairy dialtone in the ARS it self
Use the additional route option in the ARS (bottom)

thanks for the reply. The client is insisting 9 Must be there...

 
:) so the client knows how to program the ipoffice ?
Did the client also read techbulletin 80 ?

For dialing out you need a system shortcode:
9N
dial
N
Line id 50

And a ARS shortcode
N
dial
N
line id 0

This is just an example !
