Hey Guys.

First all i will explain the setup i have and then perhaps you can help me understand what is happening.

We have 7 Analogue phone lines. 2 for the main part of the house, 2 for his office, 2 for her office and 1 for staff.

The two main lines are on ARS 50 main and rolled over to ARS Main line 2 if the first line is being used. These work perfectly. Exactly 4 seconds to dial out as the delay should be and a slight delay if it needs to fall over to the alternative route.

On the ARS' i have created for his office, her office and staff, the call takes 14 seconds to go out. The calls do get made, i have my line groups right and alternative routes are correct.

The reason i created 7 ARS is so if his office makes a call it goes out on the right analogue port on the modem so it shows his office line as the caller ID and not the main house or another number. Same for staff, when they call out, they have their own ARS so that it goes out via the right port on the modem showing that particular caller ID.

Everything works the way i want it to, its just that calls take 10 seconds longer to go out when not routing via 50: Main.

You guys are super helpful, and yes i should get a PRI and maybe i havent put this together in the official way but it suits the customers needs as is. I was hoping i was missing something lgaringly obvious rather than programming it in a convoluted way has caused this

There is a 5 second delay in between each ARS.

This kind of thing is one of the reasons I hate alog lines. If they had ISDN or SIP, they could probably run on 4 channels and have all the numbers available and save money.

That's not the case. There is a 14 second delay for calls on ARS 2-7 but on the main ARS it's a standard 4. It doesn't get worse on each ARS. Is there a 5 second delay between main ARS and the rest? That would make a little more sense

Secondly, I have a PRI at another site and they have call routing issues all the time at carrier level. There are issues wherever you look.

can you post how ars 2-7 are configured?
