Hi,

I have come across a confusing problem:
imagine these entries in the ARS analysis table

Dialed Min Max Route Type Node ANI
01 2 11 1 pubu n
02 2 11 1 pubu n
07 2 11 2 pubu n

I want 07 to go over route pattern 2, so I put route 2 in the route pattern field, simple..... the thing is when i do a list trace of the the station I am dialing from, 907951xxxxxx is being sent over route 1.

Any ideas ????

Also ... does anyone know where to get hold of a decent flow chart of the steps and how the digits are routed on the system

i.e.
1. press 907xxxx - goto Dialplan analysis - 9 = FAC
2. FAC 9 = ARS access
3. 07 is checked in ARS Digit conversion
4. 07 is checked in ARS Analysis
etc.
etc.

Thanks in advance

Are there any other 07 ARS strings in your table? If there was another for 07951 etc this could be set to use route pattern 1.

Can you post your trace for us?

Do a "list ars route 07951xxxxxx" (put in the actual number) and it will tell you what route pattern it wants to use. I imagine it will tell you it wants to use route 1 since that's where it's going. The part that is helpful is it will tell you what dialed string it's matching as well.

There is another command: change ars ana LOCATION (insert location number) (then insert digits dialed)
The location is what I found that over-rides other ARS fields.

Thank you all for your comments - assistu, thanks this was a helpful tip
