ARS PROBLEM

I'm having problems dialing a hotel in PR. I can dial their fax number but not their main number. I get a re-order tone from the PBX. I have a G3R v9.

fax number 787-888-6600 working
main number 787-888-6000 not working

I looked in the ars tables to see if it was blocked and I don't see anything that would not allow the call to go through. Here is a list trace of both numbers. working number first.

I'm drawing a blank on this one and it's probably something real simple. Re-order tone sounds like it's in the pbx and not the service provider.

reorder can come from vendors, your trace looks ok, do you get the same result each time? can you route it over a different pri?

run the command "list ars route-chosen 17878886000"
You could also try a analog trunk via a TAC code to bypass ARS

I just spoke to my Sprint vendor and he thinks I need to change the codeset on the trunkgroup form from 6 to 0.
He said that their pbx would not allow codeset 6. I ask him about their fax and he thinks that their fax is going to a pots line and not through the pbx. I will make the change first thing in the morning because I have to busyout the trunk to make the change. I will post my results after I make the change.

you might also have to change the ds1 board to speech & not 3.1khz

Changed the codeset from 6 to 0 and it worked like a champ.

I think the default codeset for trunk groups is 6 and I never had to change it.

I didn't have to change the ds1 from 3.1 to speech.
Not yet anyway.
