Does anyone have a good understanding of ARS locations.
We have a S8300 at location 1 and are now adding an LSP that will be Location 2.
Currently there is only a ARS table for Location ALL.
Do I need to build a complete ARS table for both locations or only for the dial strings that will be different in each location?
Do I even need to make a seperate ARS table for location 1?
Does the switch first look at the Location table and if no match go to the ALL table or visa versa or what?

Lot of questions
Thanks
Phil

type change ars ana loc 2 and add your local table. If there is not a pattern in the location 2 table it will revert to the "all" table.

hope this helps

I have a site w/ an 8700 @ the core w/ 25 LSP's. They want transparacy whether in LSP or idle mode and it is very complicated to achieve that. So be wary of location tables, especially if there is to be significant tail-end hop-off.

If you can, I would recommend ARS partition groups unless you are going to be growing past 8 locations.

We have a S8700 with an LSP and we have all the users in the LSP with separate COR's which are partitioned. I think that is your best route.
