Hi All,

I have started getting into the murky world of Mitel and would like your guidance on ARS...

I have been tasked with setting up inter office 4 digit dialling. So far I have been able to ARS Digit Modification Plan, ARS Routes, ARS Route Lists and most of the entries for the ARS Digit Dialed List.

My problem comes when I try to create a ARS DD entry for 55.
DD = 55
# of D to follow: 2
Termination Type: List
Termination #: 51

Now I have been able to set this up for 54 and 56 with the same details but when adding 55 I get "The Digits already exist". They certainly don't in the ARS DD table so where else do I need to be checking? There are no system speed dials starting 55 either.

Cheers
Tim

The digits will have to be an exact match to get that message (not starting with XX)

ARS is allowed to create conflicts. 54 and 56 may have similar issues if you are not careful.

Best bet is Feature access codes.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Most likely 55 is a feature access code. Check that form. dryaquaman's suggestion will probably yield the same result.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Thanks all,

You're correct 55, 57 & 58 are all FACs that correspond with the first 2 digits of our 4 digit extensions in one of our offices.

55 - Remote Clear All Features
57 - Flexible Answer Point
58 - Personal Speedcall - Invoke

It appears there is no default or standard for the FACs, is it good practice to always proceed the number with the * or #?

I'll check on my local 3300 and if we have the same clash I'll get my support provider to advise best options. Unfortunately at present the remote office I'm working on don't know who supports their 3300 *sigh*

I've looked through several of our other controllers and they don't have any FACs setup without a leading symbol.

I'll update the primacy code for the 3 FACs in question to start with a #
