Our ARS table needs some fixing up. We have noticed on our phone bills that alot of our long distant phone calls are not going over our T1. By looking at our ARS table, we noticed alot of numbers with the wrong Route Pat. So we started making some changes. However, on our local numbers, the ARS table shows a route pat of r1. Some numbers show r2, r3, and r4. We cannot find any documents on what a route pat r anything. If anyone could tell me what this means, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Simbol r in route-pattern field means that there is a difference in routing this type of calls for different partition groups. To see the difference you just enter change partition-route-table 1 and will see r1 and so on.
The partition group of caller you can see in his COR as time-of-day chart number (1-8).

In the "Route Pattern" field in ARS or AAR tables, rX refers to Remote Home Numbering Plan Area (RNHPA) to edit these tables "ch rhpna X:YYY" where X is the number from the ARS/AAR table entry that is of interest and YYY gives a group of 100 numbers.

eg
ch ars ana 0

min max Pattern Type
012345 9 9 r1 pubu

ch rhpna 1:000

codes 000-099

pattern Coices
01: 50 03: ......
02: 51 04: ......
Code - Pattern Choice Ass .........
00: 1 .....
01: 2 .....
02: 1 .....
03: 1 .....
04: 1 .....
05: 2 .....

means that 012345000, , 012345002, 012345003, and 012345004 will follow route pattern 50, while calls to 012345001, or 012345005 will follow route pattern 51. There is more in R8.2 admin guide 555-233-506, couldn't find any reference in R9 docs.

In the "Route Pattern" field in ARS or AAR tables, pX refers to partition-route-table as described above.

Hope this is of some use :)

Sorry, i did write it too late to night. I regret.( p- is partition, r - rhnp)
