Seems like a simple problem but I dont want to break anything:

This is our ARS setup:
What is happening (for example) when dialing 9+1+844-HELPUSALL is the system is not ending after the 1+10digits and is waiting for the rest of the digits to be entered. I would like it to always drop the digits after 1+10th until the connection is made so we can dial vanity numbers like that with more than 10digits..

Will removing the "N" after "XXXXXXXXXXN" do the trick? I cant think of a reason to keep asking for digits after the 10th in our case.

Thanks

make entries in ars like 1xxxxxxxxxx for long distance calls (1N) and xxxxxxx (N) for local calls and this tells the system to expect no more digits from phone system

Got it. Why would the default "1N;" be in there? I cant think of a reason to let a system to allow 11,12,15,etc digits in a 1+number scenario?
Does anybody have a use-case for allowing that? It's even the default config in the help section which is why I posted here to begin with. A Definity (which is what I'm used to) is much more intuitive for things like this.

Because in some countries their local and long distance numbers are not always the same length I believe

Ah - makes sense if that's true. Just a 1XXXXXXXXXX is all we need since local and LD are all 10-digit required for us. Makes it easy. I would expect that to be the case with a default US configuration but I guess not. Oh well thanks for the help!
