This may sound like a dumb question, But how can I view a config in a word format. I have site mananger but I was wondering if the is any other software available. I have heard of some config builder software that alllows you to do this.
1.)Telnet to the router.
2.)Enter into bcc.
3.)Type the following: show config -all -file <filename>
where "filename" is the name of the file that you want to save it as...do not include the <>.
4.)ftp the file locally and open it in notepad or word.
Using the -all switch, will show you every parameter, including system defaults. If you leave that out, then it only displays things that are NOT system default settings.
