I'm trying to create better looking graphs in Reporter. We have 2005 and I've not used the 2008 version, but I'm wondering if anybody knows of a plug-in or 3rd party solution that wouldn't be priced TOO high? Or if the 2008 version has better looking chart options?

My current solution is to export the reports into Excel, do a few modifications, and create my graphs/charts in there. It takes a while and I want to streamline the process. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Try Dundas. They do a plug-in which is very good. I think they have a host of different products, charts, dashboards, etc. Not sure of the price but well worth a look.

I looked into Dundas and even learned that SQL Server 2008 includes the Reporting Services with the "Dundas chart engine." I don't know how fully loaded it is, or if it's nerfed, but now I need to find a machine I can install 2008 and work with the new reporter.

Thanks for the info Adam.

I saw a cat eat a dog once. Just once though; I mean after the dog was eaten, it couldn't eat it again.

The demo I saw of dundas they claimed the only functionality that isn't in 2008 is the events you can defin in dundas.
