Are there any other pdf forums besides this and adobe site?

Hi, I've been scouring the net for other well-traficked pdf forums but have been unsuccessful.
I need to know why I can't convert word files or notepad files into pdf format by simply dragging them into distiller or using the print to file in word.

As far as using distiller goes, distiller will only handle .ps or .eps. This can be set up by adding a printer port -- I had to go to the Adobe Support Database, specifically documents 312949 and 320716. Those to docs, along with a file named AdobePS 4.x, will get uo printing directly to distiler. (Make sure you have distiller assistant running.)

Even though this worked for me, I am by no means a hardcore user to programmer, and there may be better and easier ways to do this.
