I visit this site a lot and I see a lot of questions but not a lot of tips, news clips, or book/article reviews, so I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of these resources. Also, I am using Arcserve 2000. Who else is using it? I ask so that maybe we could more efficiently and effectively solve our problems and answer our questions about Arcserve. Thanks for your post!!!

I agree completely. I am also using arcserve 2000 with a ADIC scalar 100 unit and can find no books on the subject. After contacting CA they informed me that the pdf's which come with the software have now taken place of the books they used to publish. This is a complete joke. Those pdf's are useless and offer no real world troubleshooting help.
It only took 3 days to get their tech support to call me back by the way

I am no longer in charge of the back-ups on my project...and I could not be happier. Arcserve is a piece of crap. It is very buggy and quite unstable...I have found some very strange bugs in the program dealing with passwords and such. As for not getting a reply from CA the trick is to say "We are in production, and our system is down." Saying that the system is down is key...they will call you back in the next couple or so hours.

Happy ArcServing =Þ
