Are there 2 IP Addresses for one computer?
Is there a LAN IP address and a internet IP? Or are they both the same?

A PC has an IP for each network card it has installed and connected to something. If you have a router in between the PC and the internet, the router has 2 IP's. One on your PC netowrk, one on your ISP's network, and it "routes" between the two networks.

oh, and any machine has a "loopback" or local IP that it uses to talk to itself which is usually 127.0.0.1

And just to confuse you even more, one network card can have more than one IP address applied to it.

Also, if you have AOL on your computer, you would be pulling a 152 IP address along with your local area connection or PPP connection.
