Are Norstars nearing End-of-Life status anytime soon?

At our company we close to 100 of them and some are pretty old and I am trying to determine if there is any word on the street as to whether Norstars are approaching EOL and being replaced by Nortel with something else. (ie. VOIP solution, etc.)

Any info appreciated.

I have heard rumors that Nortel will be adding VoIP capability to the Norstars soon. The date I was givin was October 2003 though so take it with the apropriate grain of salt. Our company has been doing the same as you and taking a hard look at the BCM. It's ability to use our legacy Meridian phones is a huge plus. Problem is it is tough to get any kind of resonable ROI on it unless there is significant new construction going on.
