We have a laptop user running W98 who works out of our main site (with one router ip address xxx.xxx.1.xxx) and visits a remote site (with a different router ip address xxx.xxx.3.xxx). In order to access her files on our NT4.0 server from both sites, she must make IP address, Gateway and DNS entry changes in TCP/IP properties on her W98 laptop each visit (I tried hw profiles, doesn't work for network changes). If I upgrade her to W2k will that eliminate the need for those manual changes at each site? We use an lmhost file (necessary at the remote site).

Use DHCP servers to assign TCP/IP parameters to the laptop
