ARCserve r12.0 SP1 with Exchange-Agent r12.5 ?

simple Question:
Is it possible to use the Exchange Backup Agent r12.5 with ARCserve r12.0 SP1 (Build 5582) ?

I really do not know.
Maybe (be careful...it's a maybe) it can succesfully backup data, but who knows about restoring it ? The risk is not so small...

Yes...I agree with you.
In this case I will be forced to update my Arcserve r12 to 12.5 (I can't get an older Exchange Agent).

Have anyone experiences with Exchange Backup Agent r12.5 with ARCserve r12.0 SP1 ?

I have the same issue. I have been performing backups just fine until just the other day but I think one of my other techs messed with the exchange server. I just upgraded to SP2 today so I will let you know tomorrow.

I had to unistall the r12.5 exchange agent upgrade to SP2 for r12 to make it r12.2. install the exchange agent from sp2 and all is well.

In general newer agents will not work correctly with older versions of ARCserve Server.
