I am not exactly familiar with arcserve 11.0
I got to restore a mailbox and public folder store on our exchange server because they are horribly corrupt.

However everytime I try to restore I get the following error
E8605 05/29/2005 03:33:59 PM 2365 4 Failed to start restore. (DBNAME=First Storage Group\E:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\Mdbdata\priv1.edb[Mailbox Store (server)], EC=server:Backup Agent Error -- (1363) "Exchange Server Error. HrESERestoreOpen failed. Check Backup Agent Activity Log".)

I know it has something to do with permissions though I am using an account that has access to everything.

Also when restore, I am restoring to original location and when the credintials come up for username and password I am putting in the account with the domain\username

I see there is two places to put a password, one is just password after the username and the other is session password? what is the difference?

Frustrated.

Thanks

Username/Password is for normal network authentication. The Session Password protects backup sessions and files from unauthorized access. When backup was taken with session password, you have to use the same password to be able to restore it. For a basic restore process, dont use session pass.
