Arcserve BrightStor Exchange 2000 Brick Backup Blues!

Windows 2000 (AD Schema Master) server running Arcserve BrightStor V 9.00.

Windows 2000 / Exchange 2000 Mail server.

Problem:

Attempting to configure Brick Level backups using the Arcserve "Exchange Agent Configuration" program results in the following error:

FAILED TO AUTHENTICATE THE DOMAIN\ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT

click ok


The preceeding Window appears as follows:

Mailbox (alias) << UNSURE WHAT TO ENTER HERE ???
Service Account << Administrator Entered
Password << pw enetered
Confirm Password <<as above
Domain of Account << Domain specified.

Once the above details have been enetered the errro message:
FAILED TO AUTHENTICATE THE DOMAIN\ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT appears as soon as the finish button is selected - there is no system search to authenticate!!!

I'm completely baffled and any thanks would be greatly appreciated.

I had this problem FOREVER with ArcServe 2000. Moved to Veritas last month and I love it. Sorry, doesn't help you though.
