Just installed a new Exchange 5.5 server and joined it to the exsisting organization. Have moved a few mailboxes to the new exchange server to test and everything works fine. My problem is, when I try to backup brick level, Arcserve does not see the new server mailboxes on the new server, it only sees the orginal servers mailboxes. How do I get Arcserve to backup the new exchange mailboxes?

System
Windows 2000 Server SP2 with AD
Arcserve 2000 SP3

Thanks
Quinn

Hi,

The bottom line here is....
ARcserve will see the mailboxes on the server where the mailbox for the Backup Agent service accoutn resides...

Since you have moved a few mailboxes to a new server, you will have to create a new DBAgent account and associate it to a mail box on the NEW exchange server..

This should resolve the issue..

im not sure but u could try to with a new backup to delete the email server client.
than rediscover the client.
U must configure the client by servername not by ip-adress.
good luck
