ARCserve backup crashing

Hi!
I have just inherited the responsibility of backing up the system each evening, on windows 2000 using ARCserve. I set up the job properly, schedule it for say ten that night, and every morning I come in to find that it has crashed at some point. It appears to have backed up some of the files, but a crash has happened at every backup this week. Ive tried changing the ordering of the files to be backed up, and put smaller ones at the start, but its still crashing. As I am pretty new to networking (Im a programmer by trade)and Im now working in network admin, Id appreciate any info that I could use to sort out this problem asap. Thanks in advance!

What version of Arcserve are you using? If you can look in the job log it should give you a clue as to why the job keeps crashing during the process. If you can give more information to help us help you.

Check Arcserve for latest patchs, I think Q015991 will help.
