Arcserve Alert Manager

Have anyone setup Arcserve Alert Manager (v4)?

I tried to use the Exchange one and that did not work so I tried the SMTP one, that gives me an error "Failed to send SMTP (19)".

If anybody had the same problem or an solution, I would appreciate it very much.

We have had the same errors, most frustrating - we only want an email to say backup successful!

Hi there,

I e-mailed CA and asked them about the problem. They say that Arcserve 2000 does not support the SMTP Mailing. So what is the use of installing it in the first place!!

I use the Exchange method on 20+ servers and it works well. What problems did you have with the Exchange method of sending the e-mail?
