Hi,

I'm using ARCServe 9 on one Windows 2000 server and it backs up everything except for the C$ on the second Win2K server. Do I need to try a different "Retry" setting, such as Lock Mode if Deny Write Fails? What are the downsides to using this mode? Any suggestions are appreciated...

Thanks

Check that the share is in fact enabled on the PC itself - problems of this type usually stem from either the share being disabled, or the rights being incorrectly set.

I think on Windows machines the C$ is only shared out for admin purposes and can not be changed. If the ARCserve service account/agent has admin permissions, then it should be able to access it, correct?

Thanks

HI,
