arcserve 65 causing novell 4.2 server to abend on restores

We are running arcserve 6.5 build 622 on a windows nt 4.0 server. We are getting novell 4.2sp9a server abends when we try to restore data to the arcserve 2.1 build 73.003 client. Has anybody come across this?

Can you be specific to the problem?
Please answer the following.

1. Did you do the backup of n/w using Arcserve 6.5?
2. Are you trying to restore the data using Arcserve 6.5 back to the same n/w server?
3. If yes, how are doing the restore? Can you walk thro' the process?
4. Are you using any client agent on the netware server?

When we do the restore, besides the server abending, we get a E3118 error code. I looked this up on arcserves knowledgebase and it recommends updating to the latest patch for the application (which we already have).

1. Yes, we backup and restore with arcserve 6.5 on NT through netware client agents

2. No. The data is backed up with server 2, we tried to restore to server 1 and it hard abended. We tried to restore to server 3 and it "soft" abended. We would try to restore to server 2 but I would susupect that it would cause that server to either soft or hard abend.

4. Yes, we are using arcserve nw client 2.1 build 73.003

Can you also confirm one more thing? If you do teh restore without using the client agent, are you able to do asuccessful restore?
