Hiya,

I have a Arcserve 6.61 system run with a SQL DB. But I seem to get the tapes expiring after I eject them or so it seems. IE when I try to search the DB it only has keep info on any tapes still in the drives ?

Could you give me any ideas why this is happening any one ? Its a real pain having to rescan and merge ?

Thanks

Ed

Check your Prune setting under the Database Engine Configuration in Server Admin. How many days are you keeping records before they get pruned. I would recommend 10 days as a good setting - more depending on how often and how far back you normally get asked to restore files from.

Hiya,

It runs at 5 but have tried 30 - this doesnt seem to have any effect. Its only after I eject a tape or sometime each day that the tape information in the DB goes. So I can tell when a job ran and what tape but the session and file inof has been removed and tape maked as destroyed ???

Anyone any ideas... CA forum is offline has been for a while now
