With ARCserve 6.6 installed on an IntraNetware for Small Business (4.2) server everything had been working great.
After breaking the mirrored drive set (and running Vrepair), ARCserve wouldn't load and reported that it couldn't find CSLSTUB.NLM, and hung again trying to load TLI and BETRIEVE.
After copying the missing nlm into the System directory from the Novell CD, the nlm loader worked fine until it got to ARCSERVE.NLM where it claimed "ARCSERVE.NLM reported a critical error . . . ." This version of ARCserve supports IntraNetware for Small Business server. . ."
Tried reinstalling from the ARCserve CD, but no change. It acts as though some OS files were lost/corrupted in the unmirriring/Vrepair process, but I have no idea which files.
Does anyone know what Novell nlms ARCserve needs? Or have any other ideas?

Have you tried to reinstall the latest servicepack of novell?Probably its gonna repair the novell system-files.
Normally you need to have the scsidriver and nwaspi loaded.

Thanks for the response Paul.

SCSI driver & NWASPI loaded ok. Everything on the server seems to be OK with the exception of ARCserve.
Have an open incident with Novell tech support, & they feel this is an ARCserve problem. No response yet from ARCserve tech support. Novell tech support suggests an in-place install (copying the files from the CD), but warned of complications, so I haven't tried that yet. I'm hoping for a safer path.
I'm beginning to think that reinstalling from the ARCserve CD only dug my hole deeper (the ASconfig files now report two different version_stamp dates and servicepakversions).

Paul,

I finally got an answer from ARCserve, and now feel really stupid (stoopid?). During Vrepair some ARCserve files, as well as CSLSTUB.NLM, got lost. When I reinstalled ARCserve from the client's CD, I used the unlocking code on the CD (naturally?). It turns out that that locking code was only good for 10-users while the Novell license is for 20-users. I needed a new unlocking code!

Experience is a harsh teacher, you get the test before the lesson. Or maybe the test is the lesson?

Thanks for your assistance.
