ARCserve 2000 tuning

I want to tune my ARCserve 2000 installation for better performance. I've read document number 16005 on CA's technical support site, but it doesn't seem to apply to ARCserve 2000. I've also searched their site for tuning information, but I haven't been successful.

Can anyone provide me with the information or even a point in the right direction?

What is the rough specs you are getting right now for your backups? How many Meg a minute? How many servers are you backing up? What speed are the servers? What are your network settings (10 MB / 100 MB / etc)?
