arcserve 2000 sp3 cant connect to nwagent sp2 ok

Our customer runs AS2000 on NT-SERVER 4.0 SP6.
Backing up NT-SERVERS ok. Netware 4.11, 5.1, 6.0 is
ok with SP2 over IPX or IP. After Installing SP3
Login to the nwagent isnt possible any more. Tried
with and without Netware Client.

Any clues why SP3 breaks the authentication to the Agent.
CA doesnt have a clue.

Just a followup:
IPX authentication to a NW6 with nwagent latest version
works with SP2 doesnt with SP3. IP to NW6 works with
SP2 and SP3 (Test server in a seperate tree).
The Main NW Servers are NW4.11 SP6 with only IPX.
With SP2 authentication to the NWAGENT is ok. After
applying SP3 to the backup-server no authentication - no
backup. Uninstalling AS2000; Reinstall - apply SP2
its ok.

We want to use SP3 because of the bug fixes. Especially
with tape librarys. We use a ADIC Scalar 100 LTO.

I´m greatful for any hints.

If you happen to be using the Arcserve 2000 Agent, remove it. I recommend using the 6.61 Agent even if CA reckon it doesn't work with Arcserve 2000. I noticed when I ran the 6.61 Client Agent connecting to Acrserve 2000 (V7) I had no issues. As soon as I installed the 2000 Agent, Including SP2 for Arcserve 2000 Server and SP2 Client Agent update all went to mustard. File Pattern Filter failed to work (*.tmp), Compression was not working and above all performance went from a respectable 300-400 mb/min to a shocking 70 mb/min. Well as soon as I noticed that my 17 NT4.0 Server backup (330 GB full backup) took 23hrs through the 6.61 Agent and an alarming 4 Days (Finally gave up after 10 servers)through the 2000 agent. I removed all the 2000 client agents and went back to the 6.61 agent and finally got some worth while sleep and got to keep my job.
I also use an ADIC 17 tape autochanger. No probs with Tape Library though.
