Hi there,

while doing a disaster recovery Arcserve did not see any sessions on the tape I used. When I merged the same tape on another Arcserve 2000 server it did show al the sessions on tape. So the sessions are on the tape but the DR program doesn't see them.

Has anyone seen the same thing sometime?

The backup tape contains a full backup of the system.

HI,

Looks like the DR Files associated to this specific server where not updated properly after the full backup happened..

TO verify this under the ARCServe install path, look for a folder called DR..
Under this folder you would find a folder by the name of the server that was backed up (FULL DYNAMIC backup).
Look for a file <server-Name>.DRF.
You can load this file into the registry using Regedt32.

This file should show the list of Drives you had backed up fom the remote server..

If you do not see any info here, you wont see any sessions duyrig the DR recovery..

Hope this helps

Cheers
