We have ARCServe 2000 operating on a Dell Poweredge 2400 Server with Windows 2000 operating system. The backup will be made to a DLT Drive. The server is in a different office to us and we are trying to operate the backup remotely using a dial-in link. The problem we have got is as follows:
When we set up the server, we tested ARCServe and it worked fine. However, when we tried to set up a scheduled job over the dial-in link we have a problem in that the job will not start. It sets up fine, shows in the scheduled jobs list and no errors are reported. We have tried an ad-hoc backup as well and this behaves in exactly the same way.
Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted!!!
