ARCserve 2000 Restore of Exchange 5.5 online backup 1

I need some feedback on this one.
I am attempting to restore an Exchange server to test the database.
I have circular logging disabled on the server.
The priv.edb and pub.edb restores with out any issue, but the logfiles will not restore.
When I go in and copy them over from the restore to the server and then try to start the information store it plays all of the log files but the last one, then returns an error stating that the log files header is bad.
I think it is an issue with the backup product not Exchange.
I have attempted several restores form several backups with no luck..
Please send any advice, I am pretty strong with exchange but not ARC serve 2000.

This is problem with Arcserve 2000 as we have the exact same issue. Worked fine with Arcserve 6.61 though. Arcserve is bad.
Stop all services except SA.
Delete the log files from your server.
Restore the DBs. Remember to right click the IS and DS icons in Arcserve and choose 'Erase all data' (or something like that), which means delete the logs.

The issue I think is that even if you tell Arcserve to delete the logs it doesn't do it properly so I manually delete them.

If you're only restoring the IS for a mailbox restore then only delete and restore the IS logs and DB, obviously.

The reason I am restoring to a test environment is to test the database and make sure I can restore this server.
I was able to restore and database from at date when circular logging was enabled, but since I disabled circular logging...no luck.
I am going to call ARCserver today for support.
BTW I am only restoring the information store.
any other feedback on this issue would be great!!!
