Arcserve 2000 reports Media Full after only 10G

I am running Arcserve 2000 on a Dell Poweredge 2500 Windows 2K Server using a Powervault 110 and Fuji 40/80 tapes. We do a full backup M-F with the tapes being reformatted prior to backup. There is approximately 25G of data. The jobs ran fine for a couple of months now I'm getting intermittent messages asking me to insert a 2nd media as the 1st one is full after only 10G of data is backed-up. Thanks in advance.

Couple of thoughts :-

Try using devices screen to run a manual format on one of the offending tapes then highlight the tape and see what stats and settings are given. Does it consider them to have the capacity they should.(also how many uses have they been thru - will be displayed here)

Does your tape drive have any compression overide buttons like dlts which may have been pressed in error affecting capacity
