Here I have to install a arcserve 2000 with agents NT and openfiles. I backup 4 servers. After +-25 % of the job stops. It should be known that I have pcanywhere and that I have to create a file cmd which stop the service pcanywhere. Is this sufficient? do I owe uninstall pcanywhere? I thank you in advance Dominqiue.

Hi there

Stopping the service is enough. In my case I had to stop pc-Anywhere, Lotus Domino and even closed the window that launches ARCserve 2000 installation!

I manage 45 NT 4.0 Servers Sp6a, PcAnywhere 9.0, 10.0, 2 Exchange 5.5 SP4 Servers, SQL 7.0, SQL 6.5, Sybase, IIS 4.0, Microsoft Proxy 2.0, Microsoft SNA Server 4.0 SP3, etc and have been very pleased with ArcServe 2000 and all agents. I rarely have an issue with backups and have recovered several servers in test as well as production without a problem.

Our Exchange server has exceeded 30GB and has been recovered successfully without any issues.
