Hi everyone,

Hopefully somebody can help...............

When running Arcserve 2000 on NT Server, I get the following error when viewing the job status screen.

Asmgr.exe
Exception : Access Violation (Oxc000005) Address 0x23207c51.

Best Regards,
Andrew.

Hello Andrew,
This error occurs most of the cases if the Job queue is corrupt. Please do the following to resolve the issue
1)Stop Job engine
2)Move 00000001.QSD folder (X:\ARCserve) off of ARCserve folder
3)Start job engine
Test if you can open Job status screen
4)Go to backup manager
5) Click on File menu and select open - Open a file from Moved QSD folder
Test this job if this is causing problem, if so start from step 1. That means that this job is faulty.
Repeat the same till you delete all the jobs that are corrupt.
If all jobs are corrupt, recreat backup jobs

Thx
Pat

Hi!

I think the problem is not that because I did a new install of Arcserve 2000 Today, applied the Service Pack 2 from CA's site and I am getting the same problem. I did the test that Pat have suggested and I am getting the same problem yet.
When i try to use the option "options" from menu Backup I am getting the same problem.
Thanks

Santanaa
